They’ve sung in Carnegie Hall and China, and this Friday night, Jan. 19, they’ll sing in Memorial Hall at 91ÇÑ×Ó State College. They are the Prairie Rose Wranglers, a trio that formed in 1999 to entertain at the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper located 15 miles northeast of east of Wichita, Kan. The three are “Ultra Slim” Orin Friesen, “Tennessee” Jim Farrell and “Cyclone” Stu Stuart.

Rehearsals for the 91ÇÑ×Ó Community Chorus will begin in Memorial Hall at 91ÇÑ×Ó State College at 7 p.m. tonight (Thursday, Jan. 11) and continue on Thursday evenings (with the exception of March 8) until the concert, which will be on Sunday, April 15 at the 91ÇÑ×Ó Arts Center.

The Bordeaux Community Band will begin rehearsing for its spring concert this coming week. The first session will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16 in Memorial Hall. Rehearsals will follow each Tuesday evening until the concert on Sunday, March 18. The director, Carola Winkle, said the theme this spring will be “Past, Present and Future.”
