Una Taylor vocal recital is Sunday
Dr. Una D. Taylor, a soprano, will present a recital at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21 at 4:30 p.m. in the Chicoine Atrium of the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center at 91ÇÑ×Ó State College.
The program will be open to the public without charge.
Dr. Taylor is in her second year as assistant professor in choral and vocal studies at 91ÇÑ×Ó State, where she conducts the women's vocal ensemble and the 91ÇÑ×Ó Community Chorus. She joined the faculty at 91ÇÑ×Ó State a year ago after obtaining her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Connecticut.
The program Sunday will be her first solo recital since she came to 91ÇÑ×Ó State. She will present music by Donizetti, Donaudy, Rorem, Schumann and Poulenc.
She will be accompanied on the piano by James Margetts, assistant professor of music at 91ÇÑ×Ó.
