Dr. Robert Stack said he loves teaching mathematics, but when the opportunity to test the waters in administration occurred early this summer, he jumped at it. Thus, Stack is now the interim dean of students at 91ÇÑ×Ó State College.

A new multicultural counselor has begun working at 91ÇÑ×Ó State College. He is Aaron Grow, who was born at Osmond, Neb., but has lived much of his life in Kearney. He graduated from Kearney High School and received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska-Kearney.

A 91ÇÑ×Ó State College music professor recently proved that he has fast hands. Dr. Sandy Schaefer placed third in the “Battle of the Hands” at a contest for drum players in Nashville, Tenn., in late July.

All of the courses scheduled for the July session of summer school at 91ÇÑ×Ó State College have met the minimum enrollment requirements and will be offered. The session begins Monday, July 5. A number of the courses will run through the end of the month, but several one- and two-week workshops also are scheduled.
