CHADRON – Behavioral health counselors from western Nebraska and students enrolled in 91ÇÑ×Ó State College’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program attended a foundational workshop in Sandtray Therapy at 91ÇÑ×Ó Sept. 21-22. The training was the first of its kind offered on campus.

CHADRON – Kat Shiffler, a landscape architect with the National Parks Service gave the first of three lectures in the Graves Lecture Series at the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center Tuesday. Her lecture, Trail Town, U.S.A., focused on the building of new, long-distance trails connecting small towns throughout the Midwest, including Nebraska.

CHADRON – Dr. Mathew Brust, 91ÇÑ×Ó State College Professor of Life Sciences, returned to south-central Wyoming this summer in hopes of capturing additional specimens to confirm what he suspected was his discovery of a new species of bumblebee scarab beetle in July 2022.

CHADRON – 91ÇÑ×Ó State College recently received a sculpture created by the late William Artis, who taught art at 91ÇÑ×Ó from 1954 to 1964, thanks to Cathy Clary, of Pasco, Washington, who was honoring her late husband’s wishes. Clary delivered the clay bust to 91ÇÑ×Ó officials in late August.

CHADRON – Dr. Britt Helmbrecht, Associate Professor in Health Physical Education and Recreation, has initiated a bike-sharing program on the 91ÇÑ×Ó State College campus through a $10,000 grant she received from Healthy Blue, an arm of the Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance company.
