The Department of Business and Economics at 91ÇÑ×Ó State College and the Nebraska Council on Economic Education will host the 22nd annual World Food Day Teleconference on Friday, Oct. 14 in the Student Center Ballroom at 91ÇÑ×Ó. The program, which will be open to the public without charge, will begin at 9:45 a.m. with a welcome by Dr. Janie Park, president of 91ÇÑ×Ó State. The teleconference theme is “Reflections on Fighting Hunger: Roads Not Taken, Goals Not Met, the Journey Ahead.” The program

A total of 55 candidates have been nominated for homecoming king and queen at 91ÇÑ×Ó State College. Each campus organization that participates in homecoming is eligible to select a king and a queen candidate.

Homecoming weekend at 91ÇÑ×Ó State College will have an added feature this year. The musical, “Honk,” will be presented by the 91ÇÑ×Ó Theater and Music Departments. The dates are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 6-8 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. in Memorial Hall.

Tickets are available through Tuesday, Oct. 4 for the annual German Oktoberfest at 91ÇÑ×Ó State College. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11in the Student Center. It is sponsored by the Campus Historical Forum.

Four couples who are associated with 91ÇÑ×Ó State College have established scholarships through the 91ÇÑ×Ó State Foundation that will assist students attending the college. Three of the scholarships will assist education majors while the fourth is to help a student wishing to participate in the college’s Study Abroad program that is being launched.
