Students studying math or science at 91ÇÑ×Ó State College will benefit from a gift of more than $500,000 by Richard Gochnauer who attended 91ÇÑ×Ó 1955-57. He lived at the Prairie Pines Lodge in 91ÇÑ×Ó before passing away in April of 2012.

The Nebraska Cattlemen Foundation board will be meeting on the 91ÇÑ×Ó State College campus Sept. 17. Foundation board president Loretta Hamilton, of Thedford, said the group is looking forward to touring the Coffee Agriculture Pavilion, which is now in the final stages of construction.

91ÇÑ×Ó State College, in collaboration with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, has begun an effort to document the occurrence of swift foxes and identify the anthropogenic and ecological factors that limit their distribution. The swift fox has been identified as a Tier 1 at-risk species.
