Several items were approved during the meeting, including employee salary recommendations, the 2021-22 Board meeting schedule, and revisions to policies.

At the meeting, Dr. Beth Wentworth, who retired from 91ÇÑ×Ó State College in 2020, received Emeritus Faculty Status from the Board of Trustees. Wentworth received the 91ÇÑ×Ó Teaching Excellence Award three times and was the NSCS Teaching Excellence Award recipient in 2020.

Additionally, the Board approved 91ÇÑ×Ó adding the sport of . According to a press release from the NSCS, the NCAA identified women’s wrestling as an emerging sport in 2020. Forty-four NCAA-sponsored schools have expanded to include women’s wrestling to date, and 91ÇÑ×Ó State is the first public college/university in Nebraska. 

The Board of Trustees also voted to freeze the tuition and fee schedules for State College Students for the 2021-22 academic year.

Finally, the Board received several information items, including reports on promotion and tenure, personnel actions, and grant applications and awards.
