The Big Event volunteer registration opens Monday

CHADRON – Student, faculty and staff volunteer registration for The Big Event opens Monday.

Volunteers can register online. The Big Event staff will also have a registration table in the Student Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m until registration ends April 13.

91ÇÑ×Ó State College students, faculty and staff are encouraged to register and participate.

The Big Event is a student-based, community service day designed to say thank you to the community of 91ÇÑ×Ó, according to its website. The tradition started in 2013 at 91ÇÑ×Ó and included over 400 volunteers and 15 job sites. It now encompasses over 600 volunteers and 100 job sites within 91ÇÑ×Ó and the surrounding area.

The 5th annual event is scheduled for April 22 after the annual 91ÇÑ×Ó spring football game.
