Science and education departments offer Science Saturdays
CHADRON – More than 30 area third through eighth grade students will be participating in 91ÇÑ×Ó State College’s Science Saturdays over the coming months.
The NASA Nebraska-funded program allows children to be involved in safe, hands-on experimentation and observation, according to Dr. Ann Buchmann, 91ÇÑ×Ó faculty member and program coordinator. She said the sessions have been organized by 14 91ÇÑ×Ó elementary and secondary education majors.
Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., students will be guided through a wide variety of activities by 91ÇÑ×Ó faculty members Mike Leite, Jen Balmat, Buchmann, Doug Poole, Beth Wentworth, Jeremy Weremeichik, John Buttiglieri and 91ÇÑ×Ó pre-service teachers.
