In celebration of the Week of the Young Child, 91ÇÑ×Ó State College’s Child Development Center is opening its doors for tours.

 The center, which is designed to “educate educators,” serves families with children ages 2-9. Located at the east side of the Burkhiser Complex, the center is open 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

91ÇÑ×Ó Mayor Karin Fischer was at the center Tuesday, April 17, to sign a proclamation in recognition of the annual Week of the Young Child, which is April 22-28. While signing the proclamation surrounded by the center's children, Fischer commended 91ÇÑ×Ó for promoting quality child care and called the center an asset to the community.
