Anselmo senior wins Student Senate election
James Bahensky of Anselmo has been elected to lead the 91ÇÑ×Ó State College Student Senate for the 2012-2013 academic year. Bahensky won the presidency in a vote of the student body Wednesday and Thursday, April 18-19.
Bahensky, who is set to earn a bachelor’s degree in human biology this spring, plans to begin study toward a Master of Arts in Education degree from 91ÇÑ×Ó. He has served as Student Senate vice president this year.
Running with Bahensky was current Student Senate treasurer T.J. Thomson of Golden, Colo., a junior studying communication arts. He will be the new vice president.
The 91ÇÑ×Ó Student Senate represents the student body, providing a forum for the expression of student views and interests.
Ten other students won positions on the Student Senate during the election.
