Annual sale features area arts, crafts
The 91ÇÑ×Ó State College Art Guild is encouraging area artists and craftspeople to sell items during the club’s annual Christmas Sale on Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 8-10.
Area artists who would like the Art Guild to sell its work have until Monday, Nov. 28, to sign up. They may contact 91ÇÑ×Ó art faculty member Mary Donahue at 308-432-6325 or mdonahue@csc.edu.
The annual event features a wide variety of artwork, including cards, glass ornaments, ceramics, beadwork, candles, soaps and baked goods.
The sale serves as a place for shoppers to buy local arts and crafts, a fundraiser for the club, and a retail outlet for local artists. The Art Guild collects 20 percent commission from the sales.
