Sparks Hall dedication is Sunday
91ÇÑ×Ó State College will celebrate the renovation and expansion of Sparks Hall, its new administration headquarters, during a dedication and cornerstone laying ceremony Sunday.
The celebration will be on the building’s new concrete patio at 2 p.m. It is open to the public. The Masons will lay a new cornerstone for the building and an open house will follow. Students serving as presidential diplomats will conduct tours.
The project, which cost about $2.6 million, is being completed to free up space for new classrooms in the Administration Building. About 4,700 square feet was added to the existing structure to create a 17,218 square-foot facility.
Sparks Hall has been used as apartments in recent years, but was transformed during the past year to create offices for administrators and 91ÇÑ×Ó support personnel who were housed in the Administration Building and other locations on campus.
