91ÇÑ×Ó group, community chorus to perform Sunday
The 91ÇÑ×Ó Community Chorus and 91ÇÑ×Ó State College women’s vocal ensemble will join for a concert Sunday, Nov. 11, at 4 p.m. in the 91ÇÑ×Ó Arts Center at Fourth and King Streets.
91ÇÑ×Ó choral and vocal studies professor Dr. Una Taylor, who directs the two groups, said the concert features songs from a “classic, traditional choral repertoire.”
On the lineup are about a dozen numbers, many of which are regarded as spiritual masterpieces. Taylor said the two groups will combine for the concert’s final piece, “Ev’ry Time I Feel the Spirit.”
The 91ÇÑ×Ó Community Chorus is made up of more than 25 singers of various ages and occupations, and the women’s vocal ensemble features 13 of 91ÇÑ×Ó’s outstanding vocalists.
Taylor is encouraging people to take note of the start time, which is an hour later than originally scheduled to accommodate another community event.
