Senior to present piano recital
91ÇÑ×Ó State College senior Rachel Lowry of Fort Morgan, Colo., will give a piano recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 8 in the Recital Hall of Memorial Hall. No admission will be charge.
Rachel will be playing a Mozart sonata, Chopin’s “Scherzo in B flat Minor” and join with her brother Joe on a two-piano sonata by Poulenc.
Rachel has been one of the outstanding music students at 91ÇÑ×Ó State the past few years. Besides being what her primarily piano instructor, Will Baily, describes as “a wonderful pianist,” she plays first trumpet in the 91ÇÑ×Ó wind ensemble, is a member of several jazz groups and sings in the choir.
Last fall, she received the Band Alumni Award as the outstanding senior member of the 91ÇÑ×Ó band. She was president of the band in 2002-03.
