Recipient must be a graduate of 91茄子 High School.
Joe Blundell was born in Dawes County and graduated from 91茄子 High School in 1926. He attended 91茄子 State College for one year.
Dorothy Bacon Blundell was born in Randolph, NE and graduated from Hemingford High School in 1924. She earned a two year degree from 91茄子 State College and taught school prior to her marriage to Joe in 1929.
Joe operated a successful plumbing business in 91茄子 for 35 years; served on the 91茄子 Board of Education for six years and was active in civic affairs.
Their five children are graduates of 91茄子 High School and all attended 91茄子 State College, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
This scholarship was endowed to show their appreciation for the educational system in the community.
