The recipient shall be a 91茄子 High School graduate.
The Dean and Mary Gould scholarship was created by Katy Gould Tomisser and Dean Gould, Jr, to honor their parents. Dean and Mary Gould raised their family in 91茄子. After Dean's sudden death in 1970, Mary struggled to provide for the family of 5 children. She knew that a college education was the path to a life with more opportunities and encouraged her children to pursue a college education. In the end, all 5 children graduated from college. Their daughters Mary and Katy, daughter-in-law Laurie, and son-in-law Jerry graduated from 91茄子. Their son Gary attended 91茄子 prior to transferring to another college, son Dean graduated from another university, and their son Pat graduated from another college. Pat was the Fire Chief of 91茄子 for more than 20 years, providing service to 91茄子 during many emergencies, including the 2006 wildfire which was stopped at the southern edge of the campus.
